PrimeShred Review UK

Is PrimeShred legit? Read my PrimeShred Review to find out if it’s a good fat burner for your specific needs.

You can say the primary goal of many gym goers is to burn as much fat as possible in a short amount of time. Weight loss is always at the top of the list of popular New Year’s Resolutions, so it would be really, really odd if less than half the people in the gym aren’t in it to lose weight.

The thing is, fat loss is hard. Like, super, duper hard. It’s why so many of the most shredded celebrities and athletes we see all have coaches who prepare their meals and schedule workouts for them – shredding fat is just hard work!

It’s why we take fat burners, and the one we have today for review is PrimeShred, a fat burner described to contain ingredients that can help burn fat without losing energy and muscle mass.

PrimeShred Ingredients

If I were to describe what PrimeShred fat burner’s formula is about, it would be just using what has always worked. You see, too many fat burners try to over innovate just for the sake of and the formulas end up becoming either inefficient or have a question mark as to whether new ingredient X will work with new ingredient Y.

This is why I appreciate the rather “generic” take PrimeShred gave their product despite it being, well, generic.

Let’s check out what’s inside PrimeShred.

Key Ingredients

Green Tea std. 50% polyphenols

This is one of the best fat burning ingredients, with plenty of studies to back it up. It’s known to boost energy expenditure by increasing fat oxidation. The problem is, it’s not standardized for EGCG, the very antioxidant credited for the fat burning benefits.

Tyrosine

This is a nootropic used for focus, alertness, and general anti-stress. Good to have, especially when you’re on a diet and you’re also doing heavy lifts.

Rhodiola std. 3% salidrosides

This is an adaptogen or an herb known to curb stress levels. Premium standardization even at 3%, but I would have preferred ashwagandha as far as adaptogens are concerned.

Theanine

This nootropic is found in tea, especially green tea. It promotes calming and relaxation benefits, which explains how green tea can help induce sleep. However, in this context, theanine can also help mitigate the side effects associated with stimulants like caffeine.

Caffeine anhydrous

This is the world’s most consumed stimulant which needs no introduction. At 225 mg, the dosage is equivalent to just over two cups of black coffee. Depending on your tolerance, this could be too high or just right.

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne is known to make us hot and sweaty, and this is due to how it promotes thermogenesis, the body’s way of producing internal body heat. Thermogenesis promotes fat burning and explains why countries known for spicy foods don’t really have an obesity problem.

DMAE bitartrate

This is a mood enhancer which can help you cope with the stress of dieting or cutting. The dose is not that good, though, but it’s not a major ingredient in this formula.

Green Coffee Extract

Green coffee is the raw form of coffee bean i.e. before the roasting process. It’s prized for its chlorogenic acids, substances that are known to trigger fat burning. Sadly, it’s not standardised for this amazing fat burning compound.

BioPerine Black Pepper Extract

This is the best way to end any formula, as black pepper helps boost bioavailability across all ingredients. BioPerine is also the best brand, known for purity and potency.

Vitamin B3 Niacin

Vitamin B3 Complex

Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine HCl), Vitamin B12 (as Methylcobalamin): These are your standard B vitamins found in virtually every gym supplement out there. They’re not really critical in a sense that you can’t get them from food (in fact, B vitamins are quite abundant in food, especially in meat), but they do help with overall muscle energy metabolism i.e. when muscles use energy (which can burn fat) to do what they do.

PrimeShred’s formula isn’t complex and works on the usual thermo-nootro-energy stack. I think DMAE and Green Coffee are ineffective here given the dose, form, and lack of standardisation. They could have done away with DMAE and Green coffee, then have the extra dose distributed to the rest of the ingredients to make the overall formula more potent.

My verdict on PrimeShred

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! This is probably the mantra of the people behind PrimeShred’s formula. After all, why try to change something that’s always effective?

PrimeShred doesn’t like to reinvent the wheel, and for the most part this is a good thing. This means we only get ingredients proven to help burn fat and maintain muscle over new ingredients that are mostly tested on rats.

However, I also think this makes PrimeShred an easy miss in the market. The generic formula means it has no shortage of competition. Competition also means price wars, and PrimeShred isn’t exactly a cheap brand. I mean, it’s really good, but the “goodness” comes with a price.

Regardless of how generic the formula is or how it’s a bit expensive, PrimeShred works. Doesn’t matter if it’s not fancy because at the end of the day, the only thing consumers want in a fat burner is to just do its job, and we think PrimeShred will not disappoint.
